About this role:
Join Carrier using your HVAC skills to help us provide excellent customer services to our customers in the Plymouth Meeting, PA area. Work with and learn from Journeyman technicians while assisting customers and handling service calls.
Key Responsibilities:
•Works under direct supervision to perform on-site field service directly to customers regarding installing, updating, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing of equipment to meet customer requirements.
•Uses standard procedures to install, test, service and repair basic equipment to conform with company operating specifications and customer requirements.
•Uses standard procedures to perform basic on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation.
•Inspects equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning.
•Maintains equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests and submits weekly reports summarizing these activities.
•Looking for apprentice that is eager to learn
•Ability to work overtime and weekends if need be
Basic Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED
•A valid driver’s license is required
•1+ years of experience in the HVAC field
•Must be in Local Union 420 apprentice program or willing to join
Preferred Qualifications:
•Completion of HVAC Technical School.
•Principles and practices of Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and repair; hazard and safety practices common to the trade
•HVAC controls and safety devices; appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) / chemical usages; tools of the trade; materials and refrigerant recovery equipment and procedures used in installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC systems
•Computerized electrical circuits and systems as they relate to air-conditioning, heating, ventilating, and refrigerated cooling
•Knowledge of sheet metal, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
•Basic understanding of building automation controls
•Looking for apprentice that is eager to learn
